The Balcony Gardener

My balcony/deck garden is coming along just fine, but next summer i'd love to buy some of these beautiful seed packets, if only to put on display! i feel like they'd look funky as a party decoration, hanging from a laundry line with mini clothes pins for some kind of garden party or baby shower and have them be the favors. what do you think? check out all of them at thebalcony gardener.

This image from donna hay really struck me. The colors are so cool, I love how the red pops right out. I love the idea of having an bunch of assorted straws out for a party, it brings so much personality to a table. Enjoy!

ice cream sampler!

I saw this and ran out to get these wonderfully charming paper cups. I used them for a Sunday afternoon sorbet sampler. They looked so adorable, they're so simple and you can really dress them up. Next time, I want to see these set on a really sleek wooden tray with a fresh flower dressing them up. I love these!

i came across Simply Radiant blog today and am obsessed! i love it! she has so many great ideas, and her little boy is just darling, but thing i can't get over is this:

it may not look like much here, but it's actually a gutted lemon, filled with jello and sliced (at least i assume that's how she did it)! how cool is that?? it's AMAZING!! and looks so awesome! i definitely plan on attempting it. check out the rest of the yellow party here
