one of my goals for 2011 is to decorate my apartment exactly the way i have always wanted. i never invest any time or effort because, up until now, everywhere i have lived has been just a "temporary home." this time around, i'm pretty sure i've found a place where i'll be for longer than two years, and while my current apartment my also not be permanent, i can prepare for "the one." i love an all white room, there's something about it that makes me happy and relaxed. i need to walk into my space and feel uncluttered and at ease, that's what white does for me. so, for inspiration here are some beautiful images, via simply seleta. whites here i come.

handmade whimsy

i can't remember where i got these from, but they're beautiful. there's something a little bit sad to them, they almost feel like memories of old stuffed animals and toys. never the less, there's something soothing and gentle about them and their adorable whimsy.
