daily purchase drawings

these beautiful little drawings by kate bingaman burt document her every purchase (obsessive cosumption is her book about this project). documenting someone's life through the things they buy is such a telling thing. maybe a little scary for those of us who partake in retail therapy more often than we'd like to admit. here's a few of my favorites.

i love everything about these leather purses; the type, the illustrations, the materials. it has such a great old world, vintage feel. and i love seeing something that's usually paper, transformed in another medium.
